How long does it take to switch POS systems?
Most stores are live within one to three weeks. The bulk of that is catalog import and price verification, not setup. Your existing product file, vendor list and customer list can be imported, and the register can run alongside your old one until you are confident.
Can I keep my current hardware?
Usually. Storeveu runs on standard Windows terminals and works with common barcode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, scales and customer displays. Payment terminals are the exception, since those are tied to a processor. Send a list of what you have and we will tell you what carries over.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Billing is month to month per store, with no early termination fee. You can export your data at any time.
Do I have to change payment processors?
Integrated processing at interchange-plus rates is included. Keeping your own processor is possible as a paid add-on. Either way the register behaves the same at checkout.
What happens to my sales history when I switch?
Your product catalog, customers and vendor records import into Storeveu. Historical transaction detail generally stays in your old system, so keep that export or a final set of reports for your accountant before you cancel.
Which POS is best for a convenience, grocery or liquor store?
It depends on which parts of the job the system handles natively. Lottery reconciliation, bottle deposits, EBT and SNAP, tobacco scan-data and fuel are the features that separate general-purpose systems from ones built for these formats.
