State sales tax
4% base, 4% to 6% combined
Wyoming's base rate is 4%, and each of the state's 23 counties can add its own general and special purpose option taxes on top, which typically brings the combined rate to somewhere between 4% and 6%. A few resort communities, including Teton Village and Alta, combine higher again, up to 9%. Storeveu holds the combined rate per store, so a multi-store operator sets it once per location instead of tracking county changes by hand.
