Text Message Terms

Last updated: 2026-08-08

Fortune Technology Inc., operating as Storeveu, provides a point-of-sale and loyalty platform to independent retail stores. This page describes the text-message program Storeveu operates on behalf of those stores, and the consent a shopper gives before receiving any promotional message.

1. Who sends the messages

Messages are sent by Storeveu on behalf of the individual store a shopper enrolled with. Every promotional message names that store, so the shopper always knows who is contacting them. Storeveu does not send promotional messages under its own name to store shoppers.

2. What messages are sent

  • Promotional — loyalty offers, point-balance reminders, one-time discount codes, and win-back messages from the store a shopper enrolled with. These require consent, described below.
  • Transactional — one-time verification codes a shopper requests themselves at the in-store customer terminal, and account or staff-invitation messages. These are sent only to the person who asked for them and are not promotional.

3. How a shopper opts in

Consent is collected in person, at the store, at the moment the shopper joins the store's loyalty program. It is collected either on the customer-facing terminal at the counter or by a cashier on the register. The shopper enters their own phone number and ticks a consent box. Consent is never pre-ticked, and it is never a condition of purchase or of joining the loyalty program.

The wording shown next to the checkbox is:

I agree to receive recurring promotional and account text messages from [Store Name] at this number. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

The store name shown in the brackets is the actual store the shopper is standing in. Storeveu records the date and time of consent, which surface it was collected on, and the exact wording that was displayed, against the shopper's record.

4. Message frequency

Frequency varies by store and is typically no more than a few messages per month. Each store sets its own campaign schedule, and Storeveu enforces a re-contact cooldown so a shopper is not messaged repeatedly by the same campaign.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Storeveu does not charge shoppers for these messages; any charge comes from the shopper's own mobile carrier under their plan.

6. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to stop all promotional texts. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are treated the same way. Opting out takes effect immediately and applies to every store on the Storeveu platform, not just the store that sent the message.

Reply START (or UNSTOP) to resume messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact the store directly.

Opting out of text messages does not stop transactional messages a shopper requests themselves, such as a verification code, and does not affect the shopper's loyalty points or account.

7. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy

Phone numbers collected for this program are used to send the messages described above and for nothing else. Storeveu does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing. Numbers are processed on behalf of the enrolling store under the Storeveu Master Services Agreement. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
